Forager Cycles is a small bicycle and component operation located on ancestral S’klallam land, nestled between The Salish Sea and Washington’s Olympic Mountains. Dan Stranahan, who started this business grew up on The Peninsula and has left many times, always returning grateful to call Port Townsend, WA home. Dan has been tinkering with the things that bring him joy for a long time, and Forager Cycles is a way to turn that tinkering into designs that help you come closer to your dream experience on a bicycle.

We are a part of a storied community of farmers, artists, boatbuilders, etc. and are invested in both our local organism and the cycling world. Being connected to a diverse group of makers feeds our creative process: If we can’t make it ourselves, we draw on a range of manufacturing expertise to produce products that are durable, cause the least amount of environmental harm, and to a price that reflects the labor invested. Ol' Karl Marx cautioned against a world where the "owners of the means of production" hold too much power, thus it is our mission to empower the producers.

If you are passing through we do our best to offer a warm conversation, and warmer shower. Until then, enjoy our corner of the internet and don’t hesitate to get in touch!
