Channel your inner Gnarwhal! Named after a favorite local trail, featuring the legendary artwork of local artist & goat farmer Lydia Vadopalas. Just the right weight to keep you warm in any season, without getting too hot in mild weather. 

Defeet's Woolie Boolie is engineered for durability, and manufactured at their facility in North Carolina within a locally concentrated supply chain. The socks are knit from a blend of USA-sourced Merino wool, nylon and recycled Polyester made from North Carolina-collected plastic bottles. They are soft, yet extremely durable: after wearing a pair for 4 years now with no holes, we felt good enough to put our own artwork on them. Their wool adheres to the RWS Responsible Wool Standard, and every pair is backed by a 5-year warranty.

Gnarly socks.

Actually really nice. Fun graphic, luxurious fabric & nice fit. I got the large size which is perfect for my size 9 feet.

These are as cozy as they are gnarly. Solid thick wool warmth without bulk. Get em have a whal of a time!

Great Socks

I wear wool socks year round and these are an ideal weight for 3 seasons. The artwork brings a smile to my face. I try to support small American businesses and Forager Cycles is an excelent company with great customer support.

A gnarly taile

Our friend Lydia initially conceived of this design for a sticker, and when we saw it we knew it would work perfectly on a sock. Lydia, Defeet and I (Dan) got to work translating the design to just the right size and yarn colors. Being in the PNW, if we're not in sandals we're usually riding and living in medium weight wool socks. Eventually they wear out, but with the Woolie Boolie we felt we had truly found the most comfy and durable ones out there - whether it's riding or feeding the goats.
