The bicycle-loving Blueberry Farmers at Bow Hill helped to create these Berries that remind us of full buckets in the U-pick fields, and blue fingertips. We strived to bring the two seemingly distant worlds of manufacturing and local agriculture closer together and thought, what better way to start than with a few blueberries? 
Bluebs are the same spec as the original Cable Cherries, but come in deep blue bearing the Bow Hill Stamp - and you can also find our berries for sale in person at their farm (it's a great place to bike to!)

How to use

Get em tight!  We don't advertise a torque spec cause no one has such tiny torque wrenches. In practical terms, Use the long end of the included hex to get them about as tight as you can, and they will stay on through thick and thin. 

In order to keep track of the tiny 1.5mm wrench, we suggest taping it to your tire lever of choice! (last photo).

The Ball that Started it All

It all began with a Cherry. On a warm spring day in 2020, Dan was installing the Cables on a new cargo bike build before realizing he was fresh out of crimps! Going all the way to the bike shop for a mere crimp was out of the question, and so was the inevitable pokey, frayed cable end. The idea came. A reusable cable end with a set screw, in a spherical form that would compliment new and old components alike. Dan got to work prototyping (what diameter sphere? What size set screw?) and the first few were made with wood blocks for holding them in a vice, and a cordless drill. It worked, but wasn’t pretty. He set up a small machine shop in his dads farm workspace and made over 30 pairs, broke some, and collected feedback. By the end, a relentlessly durable and fun to use cable end was born. Dan approached a small CNC machine shop, and the first run of Cable Cherries was made in 2020. Forager Cycles was off and running.
