The Link Wrench is an 8, 9, and 10mm wrench that can be used to open a master link with the included Dyneema cord. How, you might ask? Check out the video at the bottom of the page and carry the lightest master link tool out there. Made from Grade 5 titanium in the USA.

The 8/10mm only version provides more clearance at the 8mm end for accessing nuts with an obstruction behind them (a rack tube, raised edge, etc.). If some 8mm nuts on your bicycle have a bracket or tube behind them, we recommend this version.

A note on nuts n' bolts

You may notice the fit on our wrench is slightly tighter than other wrenches, particularly if you use the wrench on quality in-house made hardware that is not undersized (Paul Component, Rene Herse etc.) However most mass produced nuts and bolt heads you're likely to encounter are slightly undersized. So, our wrenches are slightly undersized to give an optimum fit on the most common hardware. If you wish for a looser fit, you can take a flat file to the wrench flats and in a couple strokes, make the opening noticeably larger.

Finally got one!

So much better than carrying an entire set of small wrenches & weighs nothing. This is also quite a bit less wonky than using a Park rescue wrench in tight spots, tho that tool is staying in the kit for the time being.

Essential Item

These are great! I have both versions and absolutely love them. An essential item for any bicycle adventurer. Weighs almost nothing and will last a lifetime. Well worth every penny!

The Wrenchin' Raccoon

After a few long tours with a heavy toolkit, Forager founder Dan began going through each tool in his bag and asking how it could be made lighter, more versatile, or eliminated altogether. He had always carried a stamped steel 8 & 10mm wrench for reaching those hard-to-access bolts on various rack setups, and used it many times over the years. Titanium was a logical way to lighten it up. Through testing and design specifically for laser cutting, Dan found that lasers could hold the proper tolerances and eliminate the high cost and material waste associated with CNC machining titanium. An affordable, ultralight rack wrench was born!
